Cricket
For some, there is no better way to spend an afternoon or evening than watching a game of cricket. Epsom Derby Festival – Epsom Racecourse
The vibrant atmosphere, roaring laughter and thundering hooves of top-quality racing are what make the Epsom Derby Festival an unmistakably British event and The Greatest Summer Celebration.
Every year a multitude of ladies and gents head to Epsom Downs Racecourse to experience a day full of high-octane racing, music, glamour and fashion. Across the Queen’s Stand to The Hill there is an air of excitement all round.
In 2022 Friday saw beautiful sunshine, laying the perfect foundation for Hukum and Jim Crowley to take the Coronation Cup ahead of last year’s victor and fan favourite Pyledriver. Before Aiden O’Brien’s Tuesday, snatched victory from Emily Upjohn and the ever-present Frankie Dettori.
Saturday saw storm cloud’s part and a proposed downpour fail to halt the carnival atmosphere! The Simpex Express ‘Dash’ Handicap, the fastest 5f in the world, saw speed specialist Tees Spirit return victorious at 10/1. This year’s Derby paid tribute to the late great Lester Piggott and saw Aiden O’Brien stake a claim for his ninth Derby win. But it wasn’t to be, the unbeaten Desert Crown, trained by Sir Michael Stoute and ridden by Richard Kingscote took the honour.

The Championships, Wimbledon

Henley Royal Regatta
Henley Royal Regatta is a rowing event held annually on the River Thames by the town of Henley-on-Thames, England. It was established on 26 March 1839. Races are head-to-head knock out competitions, raced over a course of 1 mile, 550 yards (2,112 m). The most prestigious event at the regatta is the Grand Challenge Cup for Men’s Eights, which has been awarded since the regatta was first staged.
